The Greek word for “prayer” in the Bible means “an exchange of desires.” We want to be a church of prayer that exchanges our desires for God’s desires. We want to take the joys, burdens and thoughts of our church family and lift them up to God in exchange for his wisdom, peace and power.

While the Bible says in Matthew 6:6, “Go into your room, shut the door and pray to your Father,” we are also encouraged to gather in prayer with one another.

When we pray in company, there is added power in agreement (Matt. 18:19-20), multiplied joy (2 Cor. 1:24), greater glory to God (2 Cor. 1:11), more fruitful ministry and mission (Rom. 15:30-32), unity among believers (Acts 1:14), answers we wouldn’t otherwise get (James 5:14-16), to learn and grow in our prayers, to know one another and to know Jesus more (For more detail: http://www.desiringgod.org/articles/nine-profits-of-praying-with-company).

Below are same ways in which you can get invovled in praying with others.
